A Detector of Metal Particles in Lubricants,

Abstract

A short circuit between fins is translated by a monitoring circuit as a presence of metallic bodies. The fins are located on a disc. When a metallic particle makes a contact with two neighbouring fins a monitoring circuit sets a shaft in motion and the disc rotates. The foreign bodies are thrown away by the centrifugal force.
