Rocketborne Measurements of Ionospheric Disturbances.

Abstract

During the period 1 July 1970 to 31 March 1972 a total of 12 rocketborne payloads were used from various launch sites to investigate ionospheric disturbances. The payloads were instrumented to measure a wide scope of ionospheric parameters which included ionizing sources and effects of these upon the atmosphere. The report is a summary of each research program involved and a complete compilation of references and abstracts pertinent to this research contract. (Author)
