Mass Transfer in Electrochemical Fuel Cells with Ion Exchange Membranes (Nekotorye Problemy Massoobmena v Elektrokhimicheskikh Generatorakh s Ionobmennoi Membranoi),

Abstract

Basic questions characterizing the problem of optimum mass and heat transfer in electrochemical fuel cells are discussed. The effect of mass-transfer conditions on the output characteristics of fuel cells is examined, in hydrogen-oxygen fuel cells with ion exchange membranes. The inherent moisture content of ion exchange membranes and of the membrane-catalyst system are also described.
