Research on the Process of Drying Apples in a Vibrating Fluidized Bed (Issledovanie Protsessa Sushki Yablok y Vibrokipyashchem Sloe),

Abstract

Convective dryers, which are used in industry for drying fruits, are unwieldly and have a low capacity output. For this reason the necessity has arisen for new, more progressive methods of drying which permit a significant increase in capacity and which also attain high-quality finished products. A vibrating, fluidized bed constructed by the All-Union Scientific Research and Experimental Design Institute of Food Machinery is equipped with modern control-measuring instruments to study the process of drying apples.
