Construction of a 200 kV Ion Accelerator.

Abstract

Philosophy of design and details of construction of a relatively inexpensive yet flexible and simple to use 200 kV heavy ion accelerator are described. The vacuum systems, high voltage power supplies, multiple-sample target chamber, and ion source are presented in a form suitable for the guidance of others who may wish to construct a similar machine.
