Ballistic Nomographs

Abstract

The report describes the use and development of a group of nomographs to predict the aerodynamic performance of air launched stores with single stage decelerator systems. Given the store release altitude and either its terminal velocity or ballistic coefficient, the nomographs indicate the time of fall and drift under a specified wind profile.
