Methods Used in the Dissection and Study of Wound Tracts in Goats.

Abstract

The report describes detailed methods used in the dissection and study of wound tracts produced by various types of missiles. Before attempting to trace a wound tract in any animal, the prosector must have a thorough knowledge of the anatomy of that particular animal. Depending on the severity of the wound, the procedure of tracing the wound tract may take as long as 3 hours. The method used will involve taking precise measurements along the wound tract and giving a detailed description of the tissue traversed. (Author)
