The Sensitivity of Very Coarse-Grained Photo-Emulsions to the Effect of X-Rays,

Abstract

The notion exists that sensitivity to x-rays sharply depends on the dimensions of the emulsion crystals and the main way of increasing the sensitivity to x-rays can be the creation of very coarse-grained emulsions. This question is more complicated in practice. X-ray sensitometric indices for four series of emulsions, obtained by the ammonia-less and by the ammonia method were compared. (Author)
