Demonstration of the Feasibility of Adapting the M125A1E4/M572 Fuze Safing and Arming (S and A) Module to the Sliding Module S and A Device for the XM587E2/XM724 Electronic Time Fuze.

Abstract

The final summary report describes the technical efforts of a program to evaluate the feasibility of adapting the M125A1E4/M572E2 fuze S+A module to the sliding module S+A device for the XM587E2/XM724 electronic time fuze. Design modifications to the M125A1E4/M572E2 fuze S+A module and the results of spin, arming delay, and MIL-STD-331 rough handling tests are discussed. Based on successful results obtained in all tests, it is concluded that this design will meet all performance requirements. (Author)
