Nomographs for Determining the Thickness of Radiation Shields for Two-Particle Radiation Source.

Abstract

A description of two nomographs, one linear and one circular, is given. These nomographs can be used to determine the thickness of two compo-nent radiation shields for sources which emit two different types of particles. Emphasis is placed on the specific case in which the two parciles are neutrons and gamma rays and the absorbers are polyethylene and lead. (Author-PL)
