Static Stability and Axial Force Characteristics of Several Flat-Faced Right Circular Cylinders at Subsonic and Supersonic Speeds and Angles of Attack from 0 to 90 Degrees

Abstract

Tests were conducted at Mach numbers from 0.2 to 0.8 and 1.5 to 2.5 to determine the effects of fineness ratio and angles of attack up to 90 degrees on the static longitudinal stability and axial force of a flat-faced cylinder. Tabulated and plotted data for the entire test matrix are presented.
