Abstract

During the period, work has been performed in the following areas: Compositional and structural modification of glassy carbon by addition of iron; Pressure polymerization and carbonization of glassy carbon under pressure; Glassy carbons with open macroporosity; Small angle X-ray scattering by glassy carbons; Binary carbide glasses. Details of progress in these areas are given in the report.
