Plasma Enhancement and Diagnostic Possibilities of Selective Laser Excitation.

Abstract

The progress made towards demonstrating the viability of the new plasma diagnostic technique referred to as 'Selective Excitation Spectroscopy' has been outlined and other related topics mentioned. The results to date are encouraging and developments in the field of tunable lasers should enable this new approach to be used in a variety of applications. (Author)
