Determination of Performance Characteristics for the United States Air Force Base Level Household Goods Section.
Abstract
Base level household goods managers are often not provided the information required for timely recognition of potential problem areas within their organization. Recently imposed budget constraints have created concern throughout the Air Force over the effective and efficient utilization of resources in the performance of the Air Force mission. The primary objective of this thesis was to determine the relevant performance characteristics of the USAF base level Household Goods Section that can and should be measured in order to provide for the exercise of timely control. A modified Delphi technique was used to answer the research questions. Two questionnaires were sent to fifty experienced household goods managers. The Kendall Coefficient of Concordance test was used to analyze the respondees attitudes toward identified performance characteristics. (Author)
