The Properties of Glass-Fibre Reinforced Plastics Strengthened with High-Modulus Fibres (Svoistva Stekloplastikov, Usilennykh Vysokomodulnymi Voloknami),

Abstract

Consideration is given to the question of strengthening unidirectionally glass-fiber reinforced plastics by means of boron and carbon fibers. Curves are given for static fatigue, for Poisson's ratio and elastic modulus in relation to the volume fractions of glass and high-modulus fibers. Theoretical relationships and experimental data are compared. (Author-PL)
