Air Traffic Control System Interference Considerations.

Abstract

The FAA Air Traffic Control Navigation/Communications system is examined to identify areas within the system that are particularly susceptible to radio frequency interference effects. The identified areas are investigated in the light of known past and present analyses, and recommendations for further studies are made. The report concludes that the cosite aspects of the FAAVHF communications system requires further study in order to derive a practical means for achieving electromagnetic compatibility in the future.
