Field Heating and Cooking Equipment.
Abstract
The report describes a method for evaluation of operational and functional performance of field heating and cooking equipment. It identifies supporting tests, facilities, and equipment required. It provides procedures for safety, functional suitability, and human factors evaluation. It applies to equipment designed to heat water or cook rations under field conditions, such as solid fuel tablets and small gasoline burners used by individual soldiers, and field ranges and immersion heaters used in field kitchens.
