Marine Engineering Workshop at U. S. Navy Marine Engineering Laboratory, Annapolis, Maryland, Summer 1964,

Abstract

In the summer of 1964, the Navy Marine Engineering Laboratory in Annapolis, Maryland, organized and sponsored what was termed the Marine Engineering Workshop. It brought together a distinguished group of scientists and engineers from industry, the academic community, and Government in a joint effort with senior members of this organization's staff to investigate promising long-range solutions to marine engineering problem areas associated with power transmission (including torque conversion), servo power, and remote control as they relate to naval functional requirements. Many of the matters discussed then are of importance today. It is for this reason that this report has been prepared. (Author)
