LESKWAR, A Program for Making Nonlinear Estimates of Trajectory Parameters.

Abstract

The report describes a FORTRAN computer program for making one joint nonlinear estimate of the frequencies and closest-point-of-approach (cpa) times for a set of constant-frequency signals radiated from along the length of a single vehicle. The input data for the estimation procedure consists of samples of time-frequency measurements made for each radiated signal, and the output produced consists of estimates of true frequency and cpa time for each signal, the speed and cpa distance of the vehicle, and estimates of the accuracies of, and correlations between, these estimates. This report contains a complete mathematical description of this parameter-estimation problem, and operating instructions and examples for the computer program. (Author)
