Concrete Technology Information Analysis Center (CTIAC), Evaluation of Pilot Study.

Abstract

The pilot study reported provided funding for partial operation of the Concrete Technology Information Analysis Center from May 1970 to April 1972. During this period many inquiries were received for service. The inquiries were classified as to source: Department of Defense, not Army; Department of Army, not Corps of Engineers; Corps of Engineers; U. S. Government, not DOD; U. S., private industry; U. S., universities; Foreign, Governmental; and Foreign, Nongovernmental. Examples of inquiries are given. Seven reports (CTIAC-1 through -7) were prepared. Four reports were in response to inquiries received, respectively, from a contractor on Air Force research; a contractor on a National Cooperative Highway Research Program project; a state Department of Transportation; and a state Institute of Marine Science. The other three were state-of-the-art reports initiated in-house on electron micrography, geologic-formation-matching grout and concrete, and stain removal from concrete. (Author)
