Monoelectron Characteristics of Photomultipliers and Their Applications,

Abstract

The report discusses results of a study of the noise characteristics of photomultipliers and their practical application. The use of photomultipliers as detectors of weak light flows (at the level of individual quanta with intensity of tens of photons per second) in different applications of optics, biophysics, radiometry, astronomy, etc. is discussed.
