Economic Effectiveness of Protective Polymer Coatings,

Abstract

An expediencey of using plastics in the canning industry for protection of the internal surface of metallic containers made of ferrous metal is confirmed. A complex covering based on the epoxy resin with polyethylene hardners is investigated. It possesses a high chemical stability in relation to food products as well as a high degree of adhesion to a metallic surface. The summary data of expenses associated with the use of metallic containers in the canning industry is presented. (P.S.-PL)
