Basic Research in Thermionic Energy Conversion.
Abstract
The report presents some of the results of the past year's work in a study of thermionic converters. It is a study of the basic processes in thermionic diodes, and the application of this basic information to the achievement of practical thermionic energy conversion. The studies presented are: Simplified thermionic converter calculations; Research converter operation; Density of ions in a double sheath trap; The W-O system; The W(100)-O-C's system. (Author)
