An Accelerated Method of Fatigue Testing and Parameters of Fatigue Curves,

Abstract

The article presents a method of accelerated fatigue testing. Data are presented which make it possible to significantly reduce the number of fatigue tests and to approach more correctly the construction of fatigue curves. These accelerated methods of fatigue testing may be developed on the basis of establishing dependencies between fatigue curves and other properties or mechanical characteristics of metals. This method is based on the hypothesis of the energy similarity of fatigue destruction and the melting of metals.
