Dynamics of a Symmetric Large-Scale Atmospheric Vortex of Low Intensity,

Abstract

The paper discusses the development of a model of a symmetric large scale atmospherical whirl described by a nonlinear system of hydrodynamic equations with equations of motion free of addends containing vertical wind velocity components. A procedure for solving this system is presented. The solution can be used in obtaining meteorological information from satellite data on spiral cloud banks when large scale cloud systems extend along air flow fields. (Author)
