Inelastic Buckling of Eccentrically Loaded Columns.

Abstract

The inelastic buckling of eccentrically loaded simply supported columns of rectangular and circular cross sections is analyzed. The material of the column is assumed to satisfy Ramberg-Osgood's stress-strain relation. The load-carrying-capacity of the column is calculated by an iterative procedure for wide ranges of the geometry of the column and the eccentricity of the applied load. (Author)
