Photovoltage Measurements on AgCl,

Abstract

The authors have combined photovoltage and contact potential measurements to explore the ionic space charge effect in AgCl single crystals. It is believed that there are two main contributions to the measured photovoltage, the Dember effect and the drift effect. The chopped light method is used in the photovoltage measurement, while the Kelvin technique was used for measurements of contact potential.
