The Possible Application of Stabilography in Clinical Medicine and the Development of Methods and Equipment for the Evaluation of the Stabilogram,

Abstract

The paper is concerned with the following problems: (1) The study and the critical evaluation of previously used methods for the determination of the stability of stance. (2) The determination and refinement of the basic parameters of the shifts of the physiologic gravicenter of healthy individuals and of patients affected by some forms of neurologic pathology, as well as of coefficients representing indeces of the stability of stance. (3) The development of methods to analyze data of the stability of stance. (4) Finding expedient means for the recording of vector curves, characterizing the act of standing, (vectorstabilograms). (5) Finding evidence of possible applications of the stabilographic method in clinical practice for the diagnosis of some diseases.
