Selective Withdrawal Characteristics of Weirs: Hydraulic Laboratory Investigation.

Abstract

During 1969, the Corps of Engineers initiated laboratory research at the U. S. Army Engineer Waterways Experiment Station to determine the characteristics of withdrawal zones resulting from release of flows from randomly stratified lakes over weirs for developing means of predicting and controlling the quality of water discharged through downstream, fixed-level regulating structures.
