Comparative Tests of Soniscopes for Ultrasonic Testing of Concrete,

Abstract

Comparative tests of various models of the soniscope were conducted primarily to determine their reproducibility, under field and laboratory conditions, in the determination of pulse velocity of various concretes. Additional aims of the test program were to determine the effects of different operators on the measurement of pulse velocities, and to obtain additional velocity data on certain monoliths of Tuscaloosa Lock which has been tested previously.
