Near-Equilibrium Nozzle Flows of a Condensible Vapor.

Abstract

Supersonic nozzle flows of a condensible vapor are discussed in the limit when the collapse of the supersaturated state occurs close to the condensation point. Both homogeneous and heterogeneous nucleation are considered. It is shown that in this limit the collapse is not governed by a condensation shock. Some useful similarity rules are obtained.
