Solar Photoionization Rate Constants and Ultraviolet Intensities.

Abstract

First-order rate constants for the photoionization of N2, O2, O, and NO are presented for the altitude region from 60 to 200 km. The latest available data on the solar flux and absorption and photoionization cross sections in the wavelength region from 1216.7 to 1A are used. Tables are presented for latitude 30 deg N at equinox at zolar zenith angles of 30, 60, and 75 deg. (Author)
