Design of Resistance N-Port Networks with Dependent Sources.

Abstract

The classical n-port resistance network design problem is defined and a common approach to its solution based on parameter optimization is offered. An alternative approach is then proposed in which dependent sources are introduced into the network and where dependent source parameters assume the primary roles in the parameter optimization problem. Development of the alternative approach leads to specification of a related adjoint network and ultimately to the generation of an iterative design algorithm. (Author)
