Results of Testing an Experimental Unit for Filling Tank Trucks from Below (Resultaty Ispytanii Eksperimentalnoi Ustanovki Nizhnego Naliva Avtotsistern),
Abstract
Operation of an experimental unit has shown the desirability and possibility of developing a special assembly for filling of tank trucks from below. When using this method for the filling of tank trucks, it is possible to eliminate almost entirely all losses of petroleum products due to evaporation. In addition, almost complete mechanization and automation of filling and discharge operations becomes a possibility. Working conditions for truck drivers and servicing personnel are improved because there is no need for climbing onto the tank. Finally, the rate of filling and discharge operation is improved.
