System Response and Propagation Studies

Abstract

The report deals with the use of the Denver Research Institute Pulsed Antenna System. The pulser was operated to provide a service to the community at Kirtland AFB, New Mexico and Honolulu, Hawaii (Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory). The use of the pulser as a source for an over the horizon experiment with receivers at Bangor, Maine is described. A technique for generation of 'narrow' band signals using a directional antenna was developed as well as a technique for generation of two time-tied pulses form a single antenna system.
