Design of an Interferometric Phase Detector.

Abstract

The design of a homodyne interferometer to measure the phase variations of a laser beam wave front is described. Energy from two sampling apertures is combined on photodectors with the Doppler-shifted energy from a third aperture, and the phase relationship is determined. (Author)
