Composite Wing for Transonic Improvement, Volume 3. Structural Reliability Studies

Abstract

A discussion is presented on the development of a reliability based technology for the design of large scale bonded joints and on the development of a data base, using boron/ epoxy to titanium double scarf bonded joint specimens to explore the character of the failure process and to determine the joint characteristics which effect structural reliability.
