Temperature Profiles in Turbulent Boundary Layer of Various Fluids at the Wall,

Abstract

The investigation of heat transfer in the immediate vicinity of the wall by measurement of average temperature profiles was the main subject of the present work. Temperature profiles were measured in liquid flows with various Prandtl numbers (Pr), with the aim of determining the interaction of turbulent and molecular transport at various distances from the wall. In this investigation, the analysis is based on the universality of the distributions of the average flow characteristics in a turbulent boundary layer. (Author Modified Abstract)
