GRANTAPE: Computer Sub-Routine 22-66S,

Abstract

The routine, GRANTAPE, is a simple, but flexible, FORTRAN computer program allowing rapid sequential retrieval of a large quantity of numbers stored on magnetic tape. It has been used to avoid generating new Gaussian-distributed random numbers during computations in which correlations, resulting from the use of the same set of numbers for successive computations, are immaterial. The routine requires 675 words, in a CDC 3400 computer. (Author)
