An Experimental Investigation of the Parametric Array in Air.

Abstract

The results of an experimental investigation of the parametric array in air are presented and analyzed. This experiment was designed to yield quantitative data regarding both the propagation and directivity characteristics of the parametric array in air under the conditions of collinear source beams and spherical spreading. The characteristics of the sum frequency and second harmonic components as well as the difference frequency component of the parametric array were investigated.
