Tests on Soils Samples from Overseas Air Bases

Abstract

The project consists of the performance of mechanical analyses, Atterberg limits, specific gravity, Proctor compaction, and California Bearing Ratio tests on each soil sample received from overseas air bases. A total of 551 samples from 222 overseas air bases were received, identified, and tested. Results are discussed. Airfields from Italy, Africa, India, Burma, China, Philippines, and Alaska are included in the tests.
