Management: Decision-Making,

Abstract

The report is one of a series of monographs relating to the system of management. In the monograph the decision-making process is discussed as one of the elements of the management system in which all the elements are intricately related with each other. The system is viewed in terms of a three-dimensional model in which one dimension consists of the functions of establishing objectives, formulating policies, and making decisions; with the second dimension being comprised of the traditional management processes of planning, organizing, directing, and controlling; and with the third dimension representing the bonds of communication tying together all the other elements of the management system.
