Conflict Prediction

Abstract

The paper is concerned with the problem of predicting conflicts in the enroute air traffic environment. The over-all design presented is based on an interface with the NAS lb system. However, the basic scheme is not dependent on the Model 1 environment. The x, y and z position and velocity components of the aircraft are the only data required for the performance of the prediction function.
