Preventive Counseling and Prescriptive Remediation

Abstract

The report evaluates the effects of redefining the role of a counselor in the AV(A) School so that intensified counseling is administered to potential failures before the trainee takes the unit examination as opposed to normal post-failure counseling. In addition, two types of remediation were evaluated. An existing system of one week set back review remediation was compared with a self-paced programmed instruction.
