Techniques for Operational Exploitation of Satellite Infrared Spectrometer (SIRS) Data for Resolution of Atmospheric Variabilities. Task Two: Performance Report,

Abstract

The report describes the development of techniques for operational use of SIRS data for resolving atmospheric variables. Task Two consists of additional formulations relating specific designed mass-structure parameters to functions of the radiances. Emphasis is on mass-structure parameters compatible with the structure model which forms the basis at the Fleet Numerical Weather Central.
