Controller Productivity Study.

Abstract

The paper documents the results of a study conducted to estimate the effects of automation on the productivity of the air traffic control and flight services staffs over the next 10 to 20 years. The study concludes that an aggregate 5% per year productivity gain is achievable. Its realization will be dependent upon an aggressive development and implementation program for which the objective of achieving productivity gains is held firmly in view. (Author)
