The PILER Analyzer, Modified to Interface with the Data Handler.

Abstract

The PILER System is an automatic reprogramming system. It produces a program for a target computer, using a program operational on a source computer for problem definition. The original Analyzer is being revised to interface with a Data Handler which is being developed to control the input-output functions, including buffering, look-ahead, blocking, directing searches, editing, error handling. It also has the capability for chaining associated data records by creating links between the records, relinking after record deletion or alteration, and performing other data management functions. The use of the Data Handler isolates these important but tedious routines from the main problem of program analysis and conversion. This paper describes the modified Analyzer and its interface with the Data Handler. (Author)
