Statistical Analysis of the Stability of Imperfect Cylindrical Shells (Statustucgesjuu Analiz Ustoichivosti Nesovershennykh Tsilindricheskikh Obolochek),

Abstract

The problem of the stability of a thin cylindrical shell whose median surface has random initial deviations from ideal shape is considered. An attempt is made to construct a solution of the stochastic problem of the stability of a cylindrical shell with an arbitrary calculated number of random parameters, characterizing the deviations of the median surface from ideal shape. The coefficients of a double Fourier series are selected as these parameters, with the aid of which the function of initial imperfections is represented.
