Communications Equipment Information and Modeling System. System Requirements Analysis. Volume I.

Abstract

The concept of an interactive computer system for aiding systems engineers in the design and analysis of complex electronic communications systems is described. The detailed requirements and capabilities of proposed system, called the Communications Equipment Information and Modeling System (CEISM), are discussed. Hardware and software necessary to implement a synthesis and analysis methodology based on modular system elements are described. Also, the requirements for a data base containing characteristics of both existing and proposed electronic functional modules are developed. The further development and implementation of a prototype CEIMS is recommended. (Author)
