Abstract

The objectives were: to perform electrical and environmental tests to determine suitability of equipments for Navy use, perform antenna radiation and efficiency tests, make operational performance tests afloat on both wooden hull and metal hull boats (with specific tests on the wooden hull boat with and without a ground system or ground plate), determine ease of maintainability and expected service life, and make all necessary detailed tests in accordance with BuShips Specification MIL-E-16400.
